Terms of sale
Consumer purchases of goods over the internet.
DRAFT: needs review These terms are based on the standard terms of sale published by the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for consumer purchases of goods over the internet, adapted to Yogutide. They await a final legal review.
The Norwegian version of these terms is the authoritative one. The English text is a translation for convenience; if the two differ, the Norwegian version applies.
1. The agreement
The agreement consists of these terms of sale, the information given in the ordering solution, and any separately agreed terms. In the event of conflict between the sources, what has been specifically agreed between the parties takes precedence, provided it does not conflict with mandatory legislation.
The agreement is also supplemented by relevant statutory provisions regulating the purchase of goods between a business and a consumer, in particular the Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven), the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), the Marketing Control Act (markedsføringsloven), the Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven) and the Electronic Commerce Act (ehandelsloven).
2. The parties
Seller: Yogutide AS · Org. no. 937 512 139 · info@yogutide.com
The seller is referred to below as "we" or "us".
Buyer: the person who places the order, referred to below as "you". These terms apply to consumer purchases. We sell only to buyers who are of legal age, or who have their guardian's consent.
3. What we sell, and where
We sell food products: a chilled, fermented drink with a live culture. We deliver in Norway only. The product contains oats (gluten-containing cereal). Allergen questions and product complaints go to info@yogutide.com.
4. Price
All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner and include value added tax (MVA). Shipping costs, if any, are stated before you confirm the order. The total cost of the purchase, including all costs, is shown before you complete the order.
5. Order and agreement process
The agreement is binding for both parties when your order has been received by us. A party is nevertheless not bound by the agreement if a typographical or clerical error has occurred in the offer in the ordering solution or in your order, and the other party realised or should have realised that such an error existed.
Checkout is handled by Shopify on our behalf. After ordering you receive an order confirmation by email. Check the confirmation against the order and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Pre-orders open only once the final ingredient list and the full nutrition declaration for the product have been published on the product page.
6. Payment
Wave 01 is a pre-order with deferred payment. At checkout your payment method is authorised and saved through Shopify; the amount is charged in December 2026, before your order ships. Payment is by card, Vipps or Apple Pay. We never see or store your card details; they are processed by Shopify and its payment providers.
If the charge fails, we contact you by email. If payment is still not completed after that, the reservation may lapse and your place in the run is released.
You may cancel for a full refund, or before any charge has been made at no cost, at any time before your order ships. Wave 01 is a distance sale of goods, not a donation or a free reservation.
6a. Founding-tier perks
The perks attached to the Supporter, Insider and Believer tiers are goodwill benefits attached to a pre-order of a food product. They give no ownership, shares, dividends, voting rights or other financial rights in Yogutide AS.
The 10% discount applies to orders placed directly with Yogutide online, for as long as we sell online, and cannot be combined with other discounts or offers.
For waitlist members in positions 1–50: one free case per referred friend whose pre-order is paid and ships. Moving up the waitlist remains unlimited for every member.
A name printed on the founders' edition can is optional, subject to available space and our approval. We may decline names that are offensive or that infringe the rights of others.
Events, dinners and calls are subject to availability and may be held online.
7. Delivery
Wave 01 is expected to ship in January 2027. Because the product is still being finalised and produced, that date is an estimate, not a guarantee. If the date moves, we will tell you by email and you may cancel and have your money back.
Delivery is complete when the goods have come into your possession. Cases ship in the order they were reserved.
8. Risk for the goods
The risk for the goods passes to you when the goods have been taken over by you in accordance with the agreement. If delivery is delayed because you fail to collect the goods, you carry the risk of loss or damage caused by the properties of the goods themselves from the time the goods were made available to you.
9. Right of withdrawal
Unless the agreement is exempt from the right of withdrawal, you may withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. See the dedicated page for the full explanation and the standard cancellation form.
Our own additional term: in addition to your statutory rights, you may cancel a pre-order at any time before your order ships, for any reason. If you have already been charged you get a full refund; if the charge has not been made yet, nothing is charged. Write to info@yogutide.com.
10. Delay and non-delivery
If we do not deliver the goods, or deliver them late, and this is not caused by you or circumstances on your side, you may withhold payment, demand performance, terminate the agreement or claim compensation, in accordance with the rules of the Consumer Purchases Act, chapter 5.
If we cannot deliver at all, we cancel the order and refund the full amount you paid.
11. Defects and complaints (reklamasjon)
If the goods are defective, you must notify us within a reasonable time after you discovered or should have discovered the defect. You always have at least two months from the point at which you discovered the defect. Complaints must be made no later than two years after you took over the goods; for goods intended to last considerably longer, the limit is five years. For food, the practical limit is the shelf life stated on the can.
If the goods are defective and you have complained in time, you may withhold payment, choose between rectification and replacement, demand a price reduction, terminate the agreement or claim compensation.
12. Complaints handling
Send complaints to info@yogutide.com. Include your order number, what is wrong, and a photo if it helps. We aim to reply within three working days and to resolve the matter within fourteen days. There is no support desk: you are writing to the people who made the product.
If we do not agree, you may bring the case to Forbrukerrådet (Norwegian Consumer Council) for mediation, or contact Forbrukertilsynet (Norwegian Consumer Authority) for guidance.
13. Shipping and returns
We ship within Norway only, for now. Shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay. Expected transit time from dispatch is two to five working days depending on where you live.
The drink is chilled and contains a live culture. If a delivery arrives warm, leaking, dented or past its date, do not drink it. Take a photo, keep the packaging, and write to info@yogutide.com. We replace the affected cases, or refund them in full, and we pay the return cost. You do not need to send warm or damaged food back before we act.
Refunds are made to the same payment method you used, normally within ten days of us receiving your notice.
14. Our rights if you default
If you do not pay or fulfil your other obligations under the agreement, and this is not caused by us or circumstances on our side, we may withhold the goods, demand performance, terminate the agreement or claim compensation in accordance with the Consumer Purchases Act, chapter 9. We may also charge interest on late payment and reasonable collection costs under applicable law.
15. Personal data
The controller for personal data collected here is Yogutide AS. We process only what we need in order to fulfil our obligations under the agreement, and we do not sell your data. The privacy policy explains what we collect, who processes it, and your rights.
16. Dispute resolution
Complaints should be addressed to us within a reasonable time. We will try to resolve any dispute amicably. If that fails, you may bring the matter before Forbrukerrådet. Disputes are governed by Norwegian law.
