Glucagon-like peptide-1 — GLP-1 — is a hormone produced by enteroendocrine cells in the small intestine and colon. What we can and cannot claim.
We are scientists. We would rather be precise than persuasive.
Under EU Regulation 1924/2006, health claims on food products must be authorised and specific. We have written this page to reflect the current state of the science — not to overstate it, and not to hide behind vague language either. All statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (or European analogue). This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Well-established across a large body of peer-reviewed research. Specific strains have known effects on gut barrier integrity, immune modulation, and metabolic function.
